Mythic Grounds is a content directory for mythology and folklore. We collect minimal data and respect your privacy. This policy explains what we gather and why.

Mythic Grounds does not require user accounts or logins. We do not collect personal information unless you voluntarily provide it (for example, by contacting us or subscribing to our newsletter). When you use the contact form, we collect only the name, email address, and message you submit. Newsletter signups require your explicit consent and collect only your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link included in every email.
Any information you provide through the contact form is used solely to respond to your inquiry, process corrections, or address cultural feedback. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Mythic Grounds uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymized usage data such as pages visited, time on site, and referral source. Google may use this data as described in their privacy policy. Google AdSense may also set cookies to serve relevant advertisements.
Mythic Grounds relies on a small number of external services to function:
Map Tiles
Interactive maps are rendered using tiles from CARTO and OpenStreetMap. These services may log standard request data (IP address, user agent) per their own privacy policies.
Web Fonts
We use Google Fonts to serve typefaces. Google may collect anonymized usage data as described in their privacy policy.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to measure site usage. Google Analytics collects anonymized data using cookies. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Contact form submissions are retained only as long as needed to resolve your inquiry. Aggregated analytics data is retained indefinitely but contains no personally identifiable information.
